Now when you attend any of the D-Tools weekly webinars, whether the New User Orientation series or the Gold Support series, you will have the option of calling the conference line for audio or you can choose to listen through your computer’s speakers. We also now have the ability to mute and un-mute callers so that questions can be asked rather than typed.
When you join a webinar, you will see a window similar to the one shown below. If using the telephone line, call the conference number and then enter the Access Code followed by #. You will then be prompted to enter your Audio PIN followed by #. All attendees are muted by default but towards the end of the webinar we now have the ability to un-mute on a per attendee basis for asking questions. Of course, you can still use the “Questions” window to type any inquiries throughout the webinar.
If you do not wish to use the telephone to connect, click the “Use Mic & Speakers” radio button. You may need to click the “Audio Setup” link to configure your hardware. You can use your PC speakers or you can use a headset. If you have a microphone attached to your PC you can even ask questions when un-muted. You can pick up gaming headsets fairly inexpensively if this option appeals to you. If you do not have a microphone you can always still type any questions that you may have.
