Vista-Quicklinks Error – Desription: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

This is for all users experiencing a fatal error message when trying to send estimates from a Vista client using Quicklinks and any version of Quickbooks 2008. Please understand that this is a temporary workaround, our development team is aware of the problem and they are working very hard on a permanent solution.

Also, please note that this is a BETA patch-fix, it is very important that you backup all your projects and databases. Backing up your data is always a best practice, so we recommend that you do before getting started.

The D-Tools/Zoho CRM System – Lead Conversion Process

Introduction here: So far I have spent most of my time re-engineering our Zoho CRM system on the Leads side of the process. Before I started I thought we had a pretty good system but I noticed some pretty serious gaps and have worked hard to correct them and refine the process. At this point I am very happy with the Leads aspect of the system and more importantly the sales team is happy as well. In fact the new processes are already generating revenue and positive customer feedback.

Don’t Fear the Process

If change is good, why do so many people have a natural aversion to it? Is it really “better the devil you know?” Change can be scary and intimidating, but one thing for sure is that it is constant, and depending on your perspective, can be the difference between success and failure. Reluctance to adapt to changes around you (many of which are beyond your control, such as our current economic and business climate for example) or plain stubborn refusal to change due to long-held beliefs have doomed countless companies, relationships and even entire careers.

Not All Leads Are Created Equal

I just read this post, Not All Leads are Created Equal by Bob Brauer, President of StrikeIron a Data as a Services software company. I thought it was interesting and relevant because he came up with a formula for scoring leads similar to my Pre-Qual score approach as documented in this post on Explaining the D-Tools CRM System – Lead Management.
