There is a saying that goes, “There is more than one way to skin a cat.” I’m not sure what that means, exactly, but I understand the concept of having different methods available to accomplish a goal. Throughout SIX, and also in SI 2015, there is the ability to use different methods to get what you need done. For example, there is more than one way to Add Products to a Project and Add Products to the Catalog. And in the new Tasks interface in SI 2015, there is more than one way to create and manage your Tasks.
The intention of this article isn’t to go into a detailed explanation of the Tasks interface in SI 2015. I would simply like to make you aware of the new interface and how it could help make your workflow more efficient. Please visit the Support Site for more detailed information.
Start > Schedule > Manage Tasks
Click Manage Tasks to see the new interface, where the Tasks are listed by Client and Project. Here you can create, edit, delete and clone Tasks. You can also publish to Mobile Install and run Reports.
The Calendar can be accessed from this screen as well.
Start > Schedule > Calendar
The Calendar will display the Tasks and Service Orders that have been scheduled. And now in SI 2015 there is the ability to create and edit them here. Click the “New” button or use the right-click menu.

In the Project Explorer, the Tasks and Service Orders tabs have been added at the bottom.
