FSR’s New Flex Control System Powers Three Monitor Walls for Victory World Church

Woodland Park, NJ (January , 2010) — FSR’s new Flex-LT self-contained control system is providing significant flexibility for Victory World Church located in Norcross, GA.  The unit is enabling the Church to multipurpose three recently installed monitor walls by allowing users to easily toggle between static functions, such as announcements, and video presentations.

Victory World Church is using the Flex to power three Samsung monitor walls located in the elementary school and the children’s ministry worship area.  The Flex-LT facilitates room control at the touch of a button. It allows users to toggle between announcements during the school week and video presentations on the weekends.

Flex can either be mounted in a wall or sit on a desk and presents the user with an easy-to-use and understand color touch screen that controls the source being displayed, volume, lights, shades or screen.  A built-in scheduler automatically shuts off displays that are not in use – making it an energy-saving device – and can deliver an alert if there is an issue in the room, such as an elevated lamp life that needs attention.

Kramer Electronics’ Kent Cawthorne Promoted to Vice President of Sales

Kramer Electronics USA, Inc., is pleased to announce as of January 1, 2011, Kent Cawthorne has been promoted to Vice President of Sales for both the Kramer and Sierra Video brands.  With this promotion Kent will manage the Kramer Sales team and he will be responsible for all sales of both brands through the Pro AV dealer channel.

LIBERTY AV GIVES EASTERN SALES NEW DIRECTION

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, January 6, 2011—The new year rings in loudly at Liberty AV Solutions with an announcement made by President John Dace that Alan Richards has been named as the company’s new Eastern Director of Sales.

Now responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales activity conducted throughout the region, Richards comes to his new post with over 20 years of experience within the AV industry. Formerly with Jerusalem, Israel-based Kramer Electronics, where he served as VP of Sales for the US market, Richards will make New Jersey his home base of operations on behalf of Liberty.

Richards effectively replaces Liberty’s former  Eastern Director of Sales Dan Reich, who has taken on new responsibilities within the company as its Sales Operations Manager. THIEL enjoyed yet another successful Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Our new SCS4T was introduced in an active stereo system with a pair of our SmartSub® sub woofers. The SCS4T marks the first time THIEL has developed a floorstanding loudspeaker that uses only a coaxial/coincident 2-way driver system. Velodyne Introduces New Flagship Digital DrivePLUS Subwoofers

The Digital DrivePLUS Series subwoofers from Velodyne Acoustics, the world’s leading manufacturer of powered subwoofers, sets new standards in low frequency bass technology with fully automated set-up and integration, huge output, real-time bass performance feedback and elegant cabinetry.  The Digital DrivePLUS subs will be available in October and will be on display in booth 448 and Sound Room SR-6 at the CEDIA show, held September 23 – 26 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

DD+ offers multiple ways to manage bass performance with real-time feedback using Velodyne’s proprietary room management software.  DD+ features Auto-EQPLUS.  Using the included software and microphone, just one touch of a button on the remote or front panel completely automates the seamless blend of subwoofer, system and room within minutes. To manually set-up or fine tune your system, simply connect a laptop to the sub’s USB port and your laptop will display the frequency response, phase, crossover point and slope.  Eight fully parametric equalizers can be manipulated for smooth, even bass output.  Crossovers, slopes, subsonic filters and phase can be adjusted for the primary settings as well as for the five presets while getting feedback in real-time.  A third option to calibrate and fine-tune the subwoofer’s response is to connect the DD+ to a TV screen.  The sub even offers set up controls on the front panel including volume, crossover and Auto-EQPLUS with instantaneous feedback shown on a front panel LED display.

Digital DrivePLUS embodies all of Velodyne’s leading knowledge and experience to produce the industry’s lowest distortion bass.  The DD+ Series utilizes newly engineered drivers with twice the extension of their predecessors. Using Velodyne’s patented digital high-gain servo technology and a Class D, patented Energy Recovery System (ERS) amplifier, delivering over 3000 watts of dynamic power, the DD+ produces the industry’s lowest distortion bass, under ½%, with a 4.5 to 6 dB upgrade in output from the previous Digital Drive Series.

All four models in the Digital DrivePLUS Series (DD-10+, DD-12+, DD-15+ and DD-18+) incorporate massive magnet structures, starting at 35 lbs, fiberglass and Rohacell sandwich cones and six-layer, custom wound voice coils for more output and better heat dissipation.  All the DD+’s technology is wrapped in a stunning contoured cabinet with a choice of gloss ebony featuring an elegant cathedral grain, satin cherry or walnut finish.

“We introduced the original Digital Drive Series in 2003 and it quickly became the universally acknowledged reference standard in bass reproduction,” said Bruce Hall, president of Velodyne.  “We are excited to once again raise the bar, with more low-distortion output, more automated setup, amazing styling, and other new features.  The new DD+ Series really is the culmination of all we have learned in our 27 years of designing subwoofers.”
