Amcrest’s new Tribrid system utilizes HDCVI’s closed-circuit design with analog cameras while also connecting with IP cameras. Watch things happen as they happen, receive real-time, highly reliable HD video without loss or delay, transmitted at ultra-long wireless range. HDCVI provides a highly secure closed network as well as a painless and non-complex plug-and-play setup process. This is a new cornerstone in the consumer market for private security technologies at an unsurpassed value. Easy DIY installation plus a plethora of in-demand security features enhance each Tribrid system.
Look for easy setup with backwards-compatibility. Every channel on the Tribrid can be configured for Analog, HDCVI or IP with the simple click of a button. The cameras connect point-to-point directly to the DVR. The Tribrid functions as a single control hub for all cameras, which also makes them simpler to secure. “Since our systems are backwards-compatible with predecessor technologies that use coaxial connections, upgrading to a Tribrid is easy and practical. All you need to do is switch out the camera units and DVR while keeping the same coaxial cabling that was there before. You can also connect ONVIF-compliant IP cameras (up to two) with this system,” says Adam Ravat Founder and CEO of Amcrest.
“Having a DVR that’s compatible with every kind of camera currently available, regardless of type should seem like a no-brainer. The Tribrid works with Analog, HDCVI and IP camera technologies and offers the convenience of working with standard or high definition coax. Everyone should be considering a Tribrid,” Ravat noted.
Whether you want to upgrade everything all at once or phase your security system upgrades over time the Tribrid combines quality, versatility and durability with affordability.

The unD4I-L, a 4 input mic/line Dante interface with four network connected logic inputs and logic outputs, is now in full production and shipping. The unD4I-L adds very flexible logic inputs and logic outputs to the already existing unD4I. The four logic inputs can read switch closures or analog pots and report the readings over the network. These network messages can be customized to match the requirements of a wide variety of DSPs and control systems. Mute or PTT switches can easily be interfaced to the unD4I-L.
In the same way, the state of the logic outputs can be fully controlled over the network by 3rd party devices. Each logic output can source up to 10mA at 3.3 V, and sink up to 50mA from 5V to 24V. Microphone LED indicators, halos, or any other type of indicator can be driven from these logic outputs. The unD4I-L also support a mode where the logic output state mirrors the state of the associated logic input for situations where a local switch needs to control a local indicator without a control system.
The unD4I-L product brief can be downloaded here.

New additions to DM® product line provide simple in-wall solutions for transmitting or receiving 4K signals in a room; receiver/room controller adds serial and IR ports for convenient device control
Crestron now has a clean, simple, and low-cost solution for AV pros in need of an easy way to send 4K signals or connect 4K displays in a room, plus control other devices. The company announced today the latest additions to its complete line of industry-leading 4K products. Crestron is now shipping the industry’s first and only Wall Plate 4K DigitalMedia™ Transmitter (DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G) and Wall Plate 4K DigitalMedia Receiver & Room Controller (DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G), featuring serial and IR ports for convenient device control.
Direct replacements for the DM-TX1-C-1G and DM-RX1-C-1G, and fully HDBaseT® compliant, the DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G and DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G provide a simple signal interface and control solution for a single HD or 4K display device as part of a complete DM system.
Available in black or white, these low-cost 4K transmitters and receivers drop right into standard one-gang electrical boxes. No special back box or wiring is required, just standard category cable. They can be powered using the included wall mount power pack, or via PoDM (Power over DigitalMedia). Mounted discreetly in the wall, with only a single HDMI® cable protruding, they complement today’s sleek, super-thin 4K displays – especially desirable in more sophisticated spaces.
Ideal for conference spaces
The DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G and DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G are ideal for applications such as banquet halls, hotels, and convention centers with room divider systems. These spaces typically don’t have displays and TVs permanently mounted. Multiple transmitters and receivers can be mounted in the wall all around the room and in 4-inch deep floor boxes. Then you can just wheel in your 4K display and plug it in wherever and whenever it’s needed.
4K and more
A single cable connects either device to a DM switcher, transmitting or receiving video, audio, control, networking, and power signals all through one category cable. A single HDMI® input (DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G) or output (DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G) port supports video at resolutions up to 4K (4096×2160). Rooms in which an HDBaseT display is installed, the DM-TX-4K-100-C-1G can transmit the HDBaseT signal directly to the display without any converters or receivers required.

GoldenEar’s new SuperSub™ XXL is a very special ultra-high-performance compact subwoofer which incorporates many recently developed unique and advanced technologies and components. The goal was to create beautifully styled, finely finished, reasonably sized subwoofer, that could generate very low frequency pressure waves of extremely high amplitude, while delivering accurate and precise low frequency performance that is both highly impactful and extremely musical. In order to achieve this, we have incorporated a unique, patent-pending, 360 degree dual-plane inertially-balanced driver and sub-bass radiator topology, combined with a very advanced electronics package. Sonically, the result is rock-solid bass response that is both exceptionally fast and tuneful for music, and extraordinarily deep and powerful, in order to effortlessly reproduce the most extreme movie sound effects. The attractive enclosure of the XXL is constructed of very thick, high density medite, which is beautifully finished in high-gloss piano black lacquer. There is a unique (patent pending) combination of two fully inertially-balanced 12” long-throw active drivers in the horizontal plane and two fully inertially-balanced 12 ¾”x14 ½” planar infrasonic radiators in the vertical plane. This force-cancelling inertial balancing preserves and focuses all the energy produced by the transducers in order to effectively move the air in the room, as well as enabling full recovery of the finest details, rather than allowing loss and blurring due to wasted box movement. Also, because there are two active drivers which are separated horizontally in space, as well as two passive radiators which are separated vertically, the driver-to-room coupling is distributed much more smoothly as the different driver locations couple to different room standing wave patterns. RCA inputs are provided for both LFE connection, as well as low-level connection from a stereo source. There is a precision level control as well as a phase perfect low-pass control to enable seamless integration into any system. SuperSub XXL will ship in November, U.S. Retail Price is $1999. ea.

Coverage is retroactive to every Nexus 21 lift system ever sold
Nexus 21, a global leader in home and commercial lift systems, is doubling its comprehensive five-year lift system warranty to an industry-leading 10 years of coverage. Additionally Nexus 21 will make the 10-year warranty retroactive to every lift system the company has ever sold. The announcement will be made during CEDIA ’15.
“We’re doing this because we can,” said Nexus 21 president Cory Lovett. “We have tens of thousands of lift systems in the field, deployed in every manner imaginable…and virtually every one of them is still functioning today,” Mr. Lovett said. “No one can touch our track record.”
“From day one, we committed ourselves to the idea that every product we made had to be exceptional. We work hard to have a positive impact on the industry, and this warranty is another way we demonstrate that. Anyone can say they are good, but no one can argue with results.”
“This is the same no-fine-print warranty we have always offered and prominently display on our website – just extended to 10 years,” Mr. Lovett noted. Exclusive of outside events, the warranty provides full replacement at no cost. There is no proration. Replacement units ship freight free and without the delay of waiting for the original system to be returned.
For systems already installed, the 10-year warranty is dated the day the system was originally shipped, such that a system sold six years ago, now has four years of remaining warranty coverage.
“Our mission at Nexus is to provide the world with the most reliable lift products ever made, together with luxury-grade customer service.” said Mr. Lovett. “This warranty extension, unparalleled in the industry, is a reflection of that mission.”
