Channel Vision, a leading manufacturer of technology for the Well-Connected Home™, has updated the firmware on the latest 9-Channel NVR in order to enable compatibility with the leading automation platforms such as Crestron, Savant, RTI, Elan and more. The firmware upgrade allows users to easily view all cameras from the NVR on Smarthome platforms using Universal Plug and Play (UPNP).
“The new firmware in our 9-Channel NVR makes it easy to view all your cameras at once on a variety of automation platforms,” stated Channel Vision President Darrel Hauk. “With UPNP also built into our IP cameras, homeowners can also easily pull up cameras individually.”
The 9-Channel NVR (NVR-09N) supports 9 IP camera inputs and up to 5 megapixels per channel. It features smart search and playback, a built-in POE switch, ONVIF protocol and the ability to access the Central Management Software from the Smartphone app. The NVR is also equipped with an RTSP stream input which allows third party cameras to be used with the recording device.

Clare Controls Launches ClareCare Direct-to-Customer Support Hotline

Clare Controls wants to give customers the best possible experience – from the sale and installation of its technology and beyond. Clare has created a direct-to-customer support hotline dedicated to consumers for Tier 1 support-related questions. ClareCare provides systems guidance and answer’s consumers’ questions regarding their system, the App, and basic troubleshooting.

Draper Bringing ISF Certification Class to Dallas
Screens can have a major impact on color. When you tinker with the makeup of a screen surface, it throws off how viewers perceive image colors. The people at the Imaging Science Foundation have researched how we see projected and other electronic images, including what impact color, contrast, and other factors have on how we perceive those images. To obtain ISF certification for a screen—such as our TecVision line—is not easy, so when they stamp it certified you know it really is not affecting the colors. At all. Period.

MOBOTIX Thermographic Technology
MOBOTIX has perfectly combined thermal and optical sensor technology with an intelligent onboard video sensor “MxActivitySensor” to detect objects and persons in complete darkness over hundreds of meters automatically. Recently, MOBOTIX provided a software update free of charge to upgrade existing thermal cameras with thermal spot metering in the image center. This allows absolute temperature measurement within the total range of -40 °C to +550 °C and a typical accuracy of ±10 °C.
TR Thermal Technology & Temperature Events
On top, MOBOTIX has launched a new series of thermal radiometry (TR) models (M15, S15, S15 PTMount) to generate automatic alarms, defined by temperature limits or temperature ranges, which is vital to detect potential fire or heat sources. Up to 20 different temperature triggers can be easily defined within the new TR (Thermal Radiometry) window or the whole sensor image can be used with a typical accuracy of ±10 °C. MOBOTIX thermal dual camera systems offer also thermal overlay to localize the hot spot in the visual image and to prevent bigger damages. The standard Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) compatibility and the market leading low power consumption of only 6 watt allows operation of MOBOTIX thermal camera systems in every situation.
Cost Effective Perimeter Solution
Only one thermal MOBOTIX camera is required to protect a huge outdoor area without the need of any additional illumination. The combination of thermal, video sensor and intelligent software based motion detection like MxActivitySensor are perfectly suited to cover wide perimeter situations efficiently without any secondary equipment like IR-conventional light or additional sensors even in complete darkness.
Pro Control is excited to introduce the latest version of its Pro Control Studio® programming software — version 1.4.2 — which features three new two-way drivers for security panels. For integrators, the new drivers make it simple to provide their customers with intuitive control over select GE, Honeywell, and Elk security panels, while offering powerful automation options when integrated with other smart-home systems.
The new Pro Control drivers enable seamless integration with GE Concord® series security panels using the Interlogix ITI SuperBus 2000 Automation Module; Honeywell VISTA series panels using the 4232CBM Connected Building Module; and Elk M1 series panels. The drivers enable the creation of virtual keypads, allowing users to arm/disarm and check the status of their security system on their Pro Control Pro24.z remote or from an iOS device running the ProPanel app.
When integrated with other smart-home systems, the drivers enable powerful trigger control options. For example, setting the lighting system to the “good night” scene can trigger the security system’s “stay” mode, or televisions can be automatically powered off when motion sensors don’t detect a presence in a room. Additionally, the Elk two-way driver can trigger the security panel to say preprogrammed words or phrases.
Traditionally, programming such functionality has been a very complicated procedure. With Pro Control Studio, however, two-way drivers auto-populate professionally designed templates, eliminating time-consuming tasks for dealers while requiring little additional programming. If an integrator wants to customize an installation, Pro Control Studio provides the option to adjust elements easily within the user interface.
