Some organizations operate under high security environments, where there is no internet access. An example of these organizations are government agencies, and very large corporations. The question we are often asked by those agencies is, how can they install and operate D-Tools, which has cloud based integration?

Let me breakdown this instruction into steps. Note that some of these steps may not apply to you.

1. D-Tools and all the required software are usually accessible by download. Since no internet is available, you can use the D-Tools DVD, or download on a machine that has internet access and move the installation files to the secured machine. You will need the following:

For the SI 2016 Server (install on this order):
Windows Installer 3.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express SP1
SIServer.exe (This is the Server Installer)

For the SI 2016 Client (install on this order):
Windows Installer 3.1
Microsoft Sync Framework 2.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2
Internet Explorer 11.0 or later
SIClient.exe (This is the Client Installer)

Once all the above software is installed, the next step is the registration.

2. You will need to perform the offline registration of D-Tools. An encrypted key will be issued to your company, and this registration is performed on the D-Tools Server, as shown on the image below:

Your D-Tools Server will then register in offline mode, no internet connection is required.
