With recent iterations of SI V12, users have reported issues stating they are unable to update for various reasons. With today’s article, I am aiming to help provide a one-stop-shop for these issues and their related resolutions.

If a user is on Windows 10, they will need to be on at least Windows version 1607 in order to install SI V12 onto their system due to the requirements of .NET 4.7.2.

One way you can check your Windows version is by going to the Windows Start Menu and type WINVER. This will show you the version of Windows currently running on your system.

It is recommended to handle this prior to attempting to update to the latest version of SI V12.

The file was corrupt (wrong MD5 signature). Restart download?

If you are running an anti-virus or an internal Firewall, it is possible it could be blocking the update from happening. It is also possible for the AV/Firewall to recognize an SI Install file as a Trojan with a “False-Positive”. I assure you, this is not the case. If the files and links are acquired directly from D-Tools, there will be no harmful programs, bugs, worms, etc. included with any of our installs.

If this continues, please consider doing one of the following:

  • Disabling your Anti-Virus then trying the Update
  • Attempt to install the Update via the link below:
  • Try disabling the Anti-Virus, downloading the update from the link, then running the install file
  • Re-enable your Anti-Virus after you have performed the above
  • Internal Firewalls require further assistance from your IT/Security team to get around
